BRIGG SCHOOL REUNION DATES FOR 2017 ANNOUNCED



Reunion dates for 2017 have been announced by the Briggensians' Association - representing former pupils and staff of Sir John Nelthorpe School, Brigg Grammar School, Brigg Girls' High School and Brigg Sixth Form.
Saturday, March 18: The annual dinner will be held at Elsham Golf Club (7pm). Further details about this event will follow on Brigg Blog, including how to apply for tickets.
Sunday, April 23: Spring golf meeting - starting at noon. Requests to play to be made to Ted Cox, who will supply venue details. Email ted@15mw.karoo.co.uk or call 01482 847353.
Friday, June 9: Ladies' rounders and men's cricket matches on the SJN school field, 6pm. A social night will follow at the Yarborough Hunt pub, on Bridge Street.  Turn up on the night if you wish to play in either of the matches.
Monday, July 3: Golf - Past v Present, starting at noon. Requests to play to be made to Ted Cox, who will supply venue details. Email ted@15mw.karoo.co.uk or call 01482 847353.
Friday, September 15: Football and netball on the SJN school field, 6pm. A social night will follow at the Yarborough Hunt pub, on Bridge Street. Turn up on the night if you wish to play in either of the matches.
Sunday, October 23: Autumn golf meeting, starting at noon. Requests to play to be made to Ted Cox, who will supply venue details. Email. ted@15mw.karoo.co.uk or call 01482 847353.
Wednesday, December 27: Football match to start at 10.30am on the school field and be followed by pub games at a Brigg hostelry.
The above details have been forwarded to some ex-pupils by email and appear in the 2017 Newsletter, edited by retired headteacher David Brittain.
However, Brigg Blog is keep to spread the word among others who do not receive the association's circular.
If you know anyone who fits the bill, please draw their attention to the above information.
There's also a provisional date for next year's annual dinner - Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Elsham Golf Club.
Even if you can't play in these games, there's an opening invitation to attend the social get-togethers which follow.
