BRIGG SPORTSMAN HITS THE HEADLINES AT 67

One of the best-known sportsmen in Brigg has hit the headlines at the age of 67.
Colin Mumby - pictured above on the touchline during a recent Briggensians FC match at Sir John Nelthorpe School - is still a signed-on player in the TSW Printers Scunthorpe & District Football League.
Early in his very long career, he used to play for Scunthorpe United Reserves alongside a certain Kevin Keegan.
The Scunthorpe Telegraph has a lovely feature article about Colin in this week's edition - written by Nick Cole - and an online version of the story went up on the newspaper's website today.
Well worth a read in print - or view online through this link...
Colin played cricket for Brigg Town over many seasons, too.

Good for Colin...
There's a bit of confusion on the Scunny Telegraph site...
The headline states Colin is 67, while in the text says he celebrated his 66 birthday last year....and then claims he is his 68th year....
