PLANS TO ADD EXTRA CAR PARKING AT BRIGG STORE CONSIDERED BY COUNCILLORS

Plans by  Lidl to expand the facilities available to shoppers using its busy Brigg store were considered by North Lincolnshire Council's planning committee at its February  meeting.
Lidl is seeking permission for an extension to the Atherton Way store's car park to make 32 additional spaces available to customers.
It also wishes to intall a new trolley bay, together with relocation and enhancement of a footway and associated landscaping, including additional lighting.
Having considered the application, the planning committee decided to make a site visit before reaching a decision.
Brigg Blog understands that the councillors who serve on the committee will make their visit on March 8.
A decision on whether to approve Lidl's scheme will then be taken at the planning committee's March meeting in Scunthorpe Civic Centre.
