The broad theme was the history of newspapers serving this area.
Some Brigg folk were among the audience and our talk, as you might expect, included many references to the town as it used to be, with frequent mentions of the old Lincolnshire Times newspaper, based originally in the Market Place (at the top of Cary Lane) and later at 57 Wrawby Street, until its closure in 1985.
The talk was given to the U3A group, meeting at Scawby Village Hall, and a projector allowed some of our old pictures to be displayed and talked about by audience members.
They brought back many happy memories.
We are still in the market to deliver talks on various topics to local groups - other freelance work permitting. Anyone interested can email firstname.lastname@example.org
