LITTER-ALLY A FREE LUNCH IN BRIGG TOWN CENTRE
Brigg Blog is sorry to disappoint those who believe in the old saying There's no such thing as a free lunch.
This picture, taken recently, shows gulls feasting on half-eaten takeaway meals that had been dropped on the pavement close to where Cary Lane joins the Market Place.
If there was anything left after the gulls had eaten their fill, town centre pigeons might have well finished the job.
We noted four discarded trays and three plastic forks as the gulls made a noisy swoop on their free snack.
They must have been very tame or very hungry; we were only a few yards away taking this picture but the birds weren't at all bothered. They only had eyes for the food.
There are litter bins provided by the council in the Market Place and on Cary Lane. So it's disappointing they were not used by the people who purchased these snacks.
