BRIGG COUNCILLORS SUPPORT HOUSING PLANS

Brigg Town Council is supporting two planning applications relating to proposed property extensions.
Councillors on the Planning & Environment Committee considered the following applications during their monthly meeting held in the Angel Suite last night (Monday, December 16).
  • Erect single-storey rear extension, 9 Kennedy Close.
  • Raise ridge height of bungalow to create house and erect two-storey extension to the side and rear, 16 St Helens Road.
Coun Jane Kitching told the meeting that she wanted to see a hedge retained on the site of the Kennedy Close application.
Deputy Town Mayor Coun Brian Parker, chairing the committee meeting, said he could not see any problem with that application or the one on St Helens Road.
Coun Parker described the latter as "fairly straight forward."
Coun Jane Gibbons said the property was in the middle of a big plot.
North Lincolnshire Council will now make final decisions on both applications.
