MEMORIES OF BRIGG TOWN CENTRE SHOPS
Much interest has been generated by our recent post about a Brigg business that was popular decades ago.
We showed pictures from the 1920s relating to George Neal Sipling, a baker, and Otter and Barly's premises
Josie Webb, from Brigg Amateur Social Historians, provided useful information after we were contacted by a reader undertaking family history research.
Since then Cliff Turner, now in his 90s, who grew up in Brigg during the 1930s, has been in touch by email from his home in New Zealand.
"Your piece about the Otters reminded me that my Nana Turner always referred to the Davis shop in Wrawby Street as Otters," he says.

Our picture shows Cliff and wife Nancy on their recent 66th wedding anniversary.
