HOUSEBUILDING SCHEME TO BE CONSIDERED BY BRIGG COUNCILLOR'S COMMITTEE TODAY

A house-building scheme submitted from the Brigg area will be considered by North Lincolnshire Council's planning committee when it holds its monthly meeting today (Wednesday, November 15).
Councillor Nigel Sherwood, the Brigg businessman and Brigg & Wolds Ward representative,  pictured above, chairs the planning committee.
A couple are seeking outline planning permission to erect a one-bedroom bungalow with parking provision on land adjacent to 9 Gainsborough Lane, Scawby.
A report prepared for councillors ahead of the meeting says: "This application seeks outline permission to erect a bungalow in the garden area which would front Gainsborough Lane.

"The existing access is proposed to be utilised as a shared access with the proposed dwelling, with a turning space provided to the front of the proposed dwelling.
"The main issues in determining this application are whether the proposed dwelling would be out of character with the surrounding development and would lead to unacceptable living conditions for the occupiers of the existing and proposed dwellings."
Councillors serving on the committee will consider the application when meeting in the Council Chamber at Scunthorpe Civic Centre from 2pm tomorrow.
This meeting is open to interested members of the public.
