SOME FOR, SOME AGAINST PLANS FOR NEW BRIGG AREA CO-OP STORE

Plans to build a new Co-op store in the Brigg area are DIVIding opinion.
Six members of the public have already contracted North Lincolnshire Council planners in support of the application,  while one couple have expressed major reservations about additional traffic movements.
Having been knocked back on an earlier scheme, revised plans have been submitted.
Planning permission is being sought for the neighbourhood foodstore with new vehicular and pedestrian access, car parking and landscaping on land adjacent to 47 West Street, Scawby.
Approximately 15 jobs will be created if the store goes ahead.

Suggested opening hours are 7am to 10pm.

Brigg once had a Co-op store on Glebe Road. How many followers of our blog remember it?
Recent years have seen Co-op stores open in Broughton and Hibaldstow.
