PROPOSED REDUCTION IN THE NUMBER OF BRIGG TOWN COUNCILLORS TO BE CONSIDERED

Brigg Town Council's September meeting will include determining a response to the suggested reduction in the number of councillors it has from 19 to nine.
North Lincolnshire Council is considering altering the number of seats on town authorities within its area.
At the meeting on Monday (25th) in the Angel Suite, starting at 7.15pm, Brigg Town Council will consider the issue.
If the Community Governance Review proposal to reduce the number of town councillors goes through, it is expected to become effective at the next election when Brigg folk go to the polls.
Monday's meeting is open to interested members of the public - either to listen to the discussions or to raise items of interest to them during Public Question Time.
Other items to be considered are the town centre Christmas lights switch-on and three applications for grants by local groups.
