We popped down to support Brigg Beer Festival last night - on its second day. The final afternoon and evening sessions are today (Saturday, May 17). If you haven't been so far, why not give it a try in such wonderful weather?
The location is John Reid Trucking on Atherton Way - just a few yards on the left from the A18 roundabout near Tesco. We took some pix last night and will share them with you in a future post on Brigg Blog.
Much additional interest at this year's festival is being created by video footage they are showing of a Brigg Wheelbarrow Race in the town centre during the 1980s. See if you can spot yourself or friends in the footage? Lion Vic Bowness, who did the filming, has copies available for sale at just £5. You can see the old Corn Exchange, the Angel when it it was still a hotel and the Market Place when still part of the A18. It's worth a look just to see old makes of car.
