A BRIGG BECK IS IN THERE SOMEWHERE
The spring growing season is not far advanced but already you can see Candley Beck is choked with green slime and overgrown. It really does need a clean out, close to where it joins the Old River Ancholme.
The picture below shows very welcome improvements to the railings above the beck. So isn't now the time when the powers-that-be should be taking a look at the condition of the waterway?

Actually Nigel, the whole beck needs dredging. The Mosquitos were dreadful and a health risk this Summer. This Winter would be a perfect time for it.
