BRIGG TOURIST INFORMATION BOARDS NEED REFURB
The tourist information boards in and around Brigg town centre are set to be refurbished.
A Town Council committee considered the matter on Wednesday night during a meeting in the Angel Suite.
One of the boards is used by the Brigg Town Business Partnership, prompting a suggestion from Coun Chris Dyson that the traders' group should be approached and invited to contribute to the cost of the work.
Coun Mike Campion said the refurbishment had to be done, in view of the Town Council's policy of promoting the town.
Coun Penny Smith stressed the boards were of use to visitors, having recently seen two people studying the information provided.
At a future date the Town Council will consider whether to refurbish the old Urban District Council toll boards sited near the China Garden takeaway and on the side of the Nelthorpe Arms pub.
