At the risk of being branded a shade sexist, Brigg Blog has to reflect on the number of lady drivers who are failing to show a bit of appreciation for courtesy extended to them on the road.
If another motorist slows down to let you out of a side street or car parking bay, it's usual to give a friendly wave or a quick flick of the car's lights in acknowledgement.
White Van Man always seems to do so, but our recent observations suggest some ladies are not following suit.

Just be thankful you don't live in London Scoop. There's no letting out at junctions , more of a pushing in otherwise we are both going to get a dint in our cars. This is not followed by a gentle wave or flashing of lights , but more often by a series of gestures and expletives the likes of which I am unable to print in this blog.

Friday March 15 update: We drew to a halt for another woman driver in Brigg to turn across the traffic and into a side entrance, but she didn't acknowledge our courtesy in any way. Later, we let a male driver out onto Bridge Street from the petrol station and he gave us the thumbs-up. Go on, someone, point out that he should have kept both hands on the steering wheel.
