DATE AGREED FOR BRIGG CHRISTMAS LIGHTS SWITCH-ON 2013

Brigg Town Council has settled on a date for the Christmas Lights Switch-On 2013.
It will take place in the Market Place on Friday, November 29.
Brigg District Lions will again be running their annual Christmas Fair and it is expected many shops will stay open late on the night until 9pm.
We expect the switch-on, as usual, to be undertaken on a temporary stage erected in front of the Angel building, and that it will feature cast members  from the North Lincolnshire pantomime at the Plowright Theatre in Scunthorpe.
The Christmas Lights 2012 have been declared a complete success.
"Absolutely excellent" was the comment from Coun Mike Campion when the Brigg Town Council Property and Services Committee undertook a review of the event at its meeting in the Angel Suite Lounge last night (Wednesday).
Many local councils in the UK have given up providing communal Christmas lights because of the regulations required but Brigg Town Council has stuck at it and gets its reward every year at the switch-on when large crowds gather in the town centre.
