The steel framework for the new Aldi store in Brigg was taking shape when we took these progress pictures on Tuesday afternoon - March 10, 2019.
Also seen here are air view images captured a little earlier by Neil Stapleton. They show the layout of the site, including the provision being made for on-site customer parking.
The A18 runs left to right on his pictures. The store's entry/exit point will be off Bridge Street, with a new mini-roundabout to be installed towards the end of the project, together with provision for pedestrians to cross the busy main road.
On the other side of Bridge Street (seen on two of Neil's views) are the former Corah's and Falcon Cycles factory sites which have been cleared in readiness for a housing development providing dozens of new properties.
Aldi has yet to announce a date for the Brigg store opening but things are now taking shape so it won't be many months until the first shoppers pass through the entry doors and make for the discount retailer's shelves.
