AWARDS PRESENTED AT BRIGG CIVIC DINNER 2020


The Brigg Town Civic Dinner 2020 was held in the the Cafe Courtyard on the ground floor of the Angel building on Saturday evening (March 7)

Those attending the function included Brigg Town Mayor Coun Sharon Riggall, town councillors and staff, the Mayor and the Leader of North Lincolnshire Council, civic dignitaries from both sides of the Humber and some of the Freemen or Brigg.
Music - instrumental and choral - was provided by the Sir John Nelthorpe School Ensemble.
Various raffles, auctions and other money-raising events took place throughout the evening - the Town Mayor's Appeal Fund being in aid of the Brigg Breast Cancer Group.
One auction prize, courtesy of Brigg & Goole MP Andrew Percy, was a trip to the House of Commons, with afternoon tea on the balcony.
Civic awards for 2019 were presented on the night - the recipients being decided by Brigg Town Council.
Tamsin Bennett, of the Guiding Association, received the Joseph J. Magrath O.B.E. Award for Public Voluntary Service to the Community. View more details here...
