LET'S RAISE A GLASS TO NEW ALDI STORE IN BRIGG

With construction work progressing on the new Aldi store in Brigg it's time to raise a glass in advance to this major discount retailer as it prepares to come to town.
Aldi Stores Ltd has now submitted an application to North Lincolnshire Council, seeking a licence to sell alcoholic drinks at its new outlet (for consumption off the premises) between 7am and 11pm, seven days a week.
Our local licensing authority will make a decision after April 14, following the conclusion of the usual public consultation period.
Brigg Blog's pictures - taken recently - show work continuing on a framework of the store.
"Coming soon" is the only timescale so far given by Aldi for the Bridge Street store.
Prior to opening, a new mini-roundabout on A18 and pedestrian crossing points on Bridge Street will be installed.

It remains to be seen whether Aldi's new store or the existing Lidl will offer the lowest priced ale, lager and cider in Brigg.

I understand, Nige, with the present climate of panic buying, that a queue is already beginning to form on the construction site
