FLOWER BASKETS TARGETED IN BRIGG AT THE WEEKEND

More  vandalism has come to light in Brigg today (Monday, September 3).
Yesterday morning we reported litter bins in the town centre being overturned and the contents spread about pavements and roads. View details here...
Now some flower tubs have been targeted.
They formed part of the Brigg in Bloom 2018 initiative, which has been brightening up the town centre.
Brigg Blog went to take a look this morning and found that the litter has been removed and the bins restored to an upright position.
However, some of the flower baskets, whose contents had been tipped out, no longer adorn the railings near the County Bridge.
A number of local people have taken to social media to criticise the vandalism that took place over the weekend.
As one of them rightly says, the people who worked hard to create the displays and keep them watered must be feeling very disappointed.
It is to be hoped that CCTV may have captured something that helps with inquiries into these incidents.
