TIME TO BRIGG BACK BRIGG CHARITY MARKET?

Brigg seems to be missing out on table top sales - popular in many other towns and villages across the region.
We think there would be good support within the town from folk looking to pick up a bargain.
Possible venues include the refurbished Church Hall on Bigby Street (pictured above) and the Angel Suite.
Or how about reintroducing the popular charity market, whose stalls attracted so many customers long ago?
Meanwhile, there's an opportunity to make a shortish drive to visit an established table top sale.

FROM ANN BOULTON, BETTER BARROW COMMUNITY GROUP
Having a clear out?  Why not sell your unwanted items at next month's Barrow-on-Humber table top sale?
The Better Barrow Community Group is now taking bookings for tables for their sale on March 4 in the Village Hall on the High Street.
On the same morning, Holy Trinity Church holds the latest of its regular book sales in the Vicar's Room, so there is an opportunity to call in on both events.
Tables for the table top sale cost £5 each and sellers can set up from 9am.
To book a table, e-mail your name and number to betterbarrow@gmail.com or for further details ring 01469 531280.

The Barrow event, Nige, seems to be a doctored car boot sale....but there's nothing stopping Brigg having a 'boot sale', which also includes charity stalls.
Using the market stalls in Brigg may seem a little formalised and somewhat expensive.....is there another site at which a typical car boot sale be organised.....the Vale (Redcombe Lane) sports field?
This type of event, I suggest, would be a much bigger attraction than a range of charity stalls competing with each other in the Market Place. A win-win situation, perhaps?

Scawby Hall Park?
Hibaldstow playing fields?
.....ironically, Brigg is so restricted that it doesn't seem to have an extensive site to really cater for such event....

....Aye...but Station Road is down for redevelopment....thus, the other subsequent consequence will be the displacement of the Travellers' Horse Fair....the powers that be need to negotiate with all concerned to locate a suitable site....otherwise, the Travellers will unilaterally chose one....
