UPDATE TO BE GIVEN ON BRIGG ALLOTMENT SITE RELOCATION

Latest information about the relocation of one of the Brigg allotment sites is due to be revealed later this week.
Brigg Town Council's monthly meeting has been brought forward a couple of weeks and will now be held on Thursday, September 5 in the Angel Suite Lounge (6.30pm).
An update on the allotment relocation is to be given during this meeting, which is open to interested locals.
The Grammar School Road allotments, pictured, are needed for future development, and a new site has been set aside on part of Woodbine Park between Preston Drive and South View Avenue.
Considerable interest has been shown in this topic on social media forums in recent months.
The required planning permission has been granted by North Lincolnshire Council.
Brigg Town Council operates and rents out all town's allotments, another site also being run off Atherton Way/Redcombe Lane. Vacant plots can be rented from the council.
At Thursday's council meeting, four applications for grants are to be considered:

  • Park Run
  • North Lincolnshire Music & Drama Festival
  • Brigg in Bloom
  • Brigg Arts and Culture Centre.
