BRIGG LITTER PICK TO TIDY THE STREETS

Community-minded Brigg residents will be undertaking another litter pick and tidy-up session in part of the town on Monday morning (September 9).
The volunteers will be supporting a Green Clean of the Woodbine housing estate for the North Lincolnshire Branch of CPRE, Coun Jane Kitching tell us.
CPRE stands for the Campaign to Protect Rural England.
Meanwhile and on the same topic, Brigg Town Council is seeking to buy a second-hand street sweeping machine.
One that's been regularly serviced is available as surplus to requirements at North Lincolnshire Council.
Discussions are now expected to take place between the two authorities in the weeks ahead.
Brigg Town Council's September meeting in the Angel Suite received a brief update; perhaps next month's will hear that a machine has been purchased and can get to work.

Talking about mechanical devices...what's happened to the ride-on, mechanical chemical de-icing machine..I haven't seen it for years?
