TAKEAWAY SOME GOOD NEWS BY READING THIS BRIGG BLOG POST
A Brigg takeaway - closed and on the property market for many months - has now been sold, we are pleased to report.
Den's chippie, on Glebe Road, was very popular with townsfolk - us included.
The question now is: Will it reopen to sell fish and chips or some other type of fast food?
Brigg is well-served when it comes to takeaways, with Oriental, Indian, Turkish and Italian cuisine on offer.
There some other types of takeaway we don't have, of course, including Lebanese, Polish, North African and a place specialising in chicken dishes.
Simon's Fried Chicken provided the latter on Bridge Street for some time.
Then, several years ago, planning permission was granted for a takeaway specialising in hot chicken dishes to operate from a former cafe in the Market Place. But no conversion of the premises took place.
Many people in Brigg will be interested to see what the former Den's chippie is selling when it reopens.
