IMPORTANT NEWS FOR BRIGG TRAIN USERS

BY PAUL JOHNSON, RAIL CAMPAIGNER

For the next two weeks there will be disruption to the Saturday Brigg Line service.
On Saturday the 16th June (tomorrow) a replacement coach service will run on the entire length from Sheffield to Cleethorpes via Brigg.
This is due to Network Rail engineering works in the Sheffield and Gainsborough areas.
On Saturday the 23rd June no passenger trains will run at all on the Brigg line.
This is due to industrial action, Northern have decided that a replacement bus service will NOT be in operation on this route.
N.F. ADDS: Train travellers will be grateful for this important update. The iconic Brigg line has a Saturday-only passenger train service - three each way between Cleethorpes and Sheffield via Barnetby, Brigg, Kirton Lindsey, Gainsborough and Retford.

The above picture from Paul was taken aboard a passenger train on the Brigg line's Saturday service.
