BRIGG BLOG MAKES A NOISE ABOUT ANNOYING TOWN CENTRE PROBLEM
A couple of what we call clanking manholes in Brigg have been repaired quite recently - on Barnard Avenue, the A18.
But more still need attention within the town centre. There's one midway down Queen Street and the one pictured here, close to Parker's Carpets and the Kebabish takeaway.
Every time a vehicle runs over misplaced manhole covers, a loud clanking sound results. This must be annoying for people living in nearby houses.
We think it would be wrong to point the finger at North Lincolnshire Council due to it being the highway authority. For some manhole covers lead to items underground that are outside the council's remit.
However, it would be good if someone, somewhere could take this matter in hand and arrange repairs.
