BRIGG TOWN FC PAYS TRIBUTE TO FORMER OFFICIAL
Brigg Town Football Club has paid tribute to a popular former official.
The Zebras have dedicated the main stand to Dominic (Dom) Avison, who was the director/manager overseeing the bar at the ground prior to his death in February, aged 43.
Following the funeral service at St John's Church, Brigg, and committal at Woodlands in Scunthorpe on March 23, refreshments were served at The Hawthorns clubhouse.
A minute's silence was observed at one of the club's home games as a further mark of respect.
Our picture - taken at the weekend - shows the rear of the stand, painted in Brigg Town's colours and bearing Dominic's name.
