POWER LINE REBUILD NEAR BRIGG TO GO AHEAD

Overhead power lines are to be rebuilt near Brigg in the not too distant future.
No objections have been raised by North Lincolnshire Council to Northern Powergrid Yorkshire's application under the Overhead Lines (Exemption) (England & Wales) Regulations 2009 to rebuild existing overhead lines.
The location is given as the B1208 from the A18 to Brigg Road, Castlethorpe.
There were no objections raised with planners by members of the public.
Northern Powergrid told the council: "As part of our ongoing programme of maintaining the electricity network in our area, we are proposing to rebuild the existing overhead lines at Castlethorpe, Brigg.
"The work will involve replacing the existing low voltage electrical conductors in favour of an aerial bunched conductor. The existing 4 wire electrical conductor will be bunched into an insulated single wire arrangement."

Mystery Structure..
I'll take a photo and send it to you, Nige...
..but in the location, or near abouts where you indicate, there is a rectangular concrete blockhouse..about the size of an 8 x 6 shed (2.6m × 2m).
It is on the edge of a field, alongside a public footpath leading from Scawby Rd...separated by bushes, but about in-line with the DFS furniture store.
No windows, or door, but there is a partial bracket that could indicate a cable, or something similar, from possibly the nearby overhead powers lines feed the building.
No-one seems to know what this building is, or was.....but it seems to have been about since, if not before, the 60's. One local guy said he used the building as a goal during knockabout footie games in the field in the 60's....
At of interest, it would satisfy my couriosity to know what this structure is all about..
