£600K INVESTMENT IN BRIGG SCHOOL

Brigg Blog, and many others, will be pleased to see investment being made at Sir John Nelthorpe School to benefit today's pupils and staff and those who will be attending this well-established seat of learning in the future.
We uploaded a weekend post (with pictures) about contractors being busy inside what we used to call, in Brigg Grammar days, the main school.
But another part of SJN  has also seen investment, we now gather.
A North Lincolnshire Council spokeswoman explained: "Work was undertaken over the school summer holidays to replace the roof on the science lab on the Wrawby Road site at a cost of £28,000.
"Mechanical and electrical work is being carried out on the Grammar School Road site at a cost of £575,000. Work started at the beginning of the school summer holidays to rewire and reheat the main block. This is being done in three phases. All work should be completed during the autumn term.
"Listed building consent was sought in order for the works to be completed."
