ON THE BUSES IN BRIGG

Here's one of the bus shelters at the cemetery stop on Wrawby Road, Brigg, close to the turn off to the Recreation Ground and Brigg Town FC's Hawthorns ground.
We've used it to catch the Stagecoach service bound for Barton and also the Wolds Villager to Barnetby.
Passengers awaiting buses when rain or snow are falling should be thankful to North Lincolnshire Council for the cover afforded by this shelter and its twin on the other side of the A18, near the cemetery gates.
Decades ago, many Brigg-based British Steel Corporation employees used to catch contract buses to the Scunthorpe works at the cemetery.
The bus operated by the Brigg Branch of the Grimsby Town Supporters' Club to take fans to Blundell Park for home games also picked up at the cemetery for many years, until the early 1980s.

Wrawby Road is quite long but there is just one bus stop (on each side of the road) between the White Horse area and Wrawby. I would prefer to have seen a bus stop around the Hawthorn Ave junction and one at the bottom of Churchill Ave.
