BRIGG MILLENNIUM GREEN UPDATE

 

Following its usual August recess, Brigg Town Council will be resuming monthly meetings withe one on Monday, September 26, in the Angel Suite, from 7.15pm.
This is open to interested members of the public, and Public Question Time is included on the agenda for people wishing to raise items of interest or question their elected representatives.
Among items of interest on Monday will be an update about the possible lease of the Millennium Green, on Elwes Street (pictured above).


AGENDA BUSINESS TO BE TRANSACTED

1. Notice convening the meeting.

2. To Receive Apologies and Reasons for Absence

3. To Consider the suspension of the Meeting for the Purpose of Prayer.

 4. a)  To Record any Declarations of Interest by any member of the council in respect of the agenda items listed below.  Members declaring interests should identify the Agenda Item and the type of interest being declared.

b)  To note any dispensations given to any member of the council in respect of the Agenda Items listed below.

5. Police Matters

6. To receive any correspondence (for information only).

 7. To receive the update on any outstanding issues from the Clerk. (See also appendix 3).

 8. Public Question Time.

 9. To Receive any Questions from Members.

10. To Receive a report from the North Lincolnshire Ward Councillors.

11. a) TO RECEIVE AND APPROVE THE MINUTES, AS CIRCULATED, 
OF THE FOLLOWING COMMITTEES.

12. TO RECEIVE REPORTS FROM MEMBERS DELEGATED TO SERVE ON OUTSIDE BODIES.

13. GRANTS AND DONATIONS

a) To consider a request from 1st & 2nd Brigg Scouts for a grant, from the Grants and Donations
budget towards the purchase of a new front door for the Scout Hut.

b) To consider a request from The Rotary Foundation Team for a donation, from the  Grants and Donations budget, towards the purchase of crocus bulbs and plaques in order to raise public awareness of Polio and improve the visual amenity in Brigg.

14. ACCOUNTS AND AUDIT 
a)   To Receive the following Financial Reports and Approve the Accounts for Payment:
      As at 31st August 2016 for Full Council and the Angel Suite

15. TO APPOINT TWO REPRESENTATIVES FROM BRIGG TOWN COUNCIL TO JOIN THE GRANTSCAPE ADVISORY GROUP. (THE GROUP WILL ASSESS THE APPLICATIONS OF THE FUND ASSOCIATED WITH THE RENEWABLE ENERGY PLANT).

16. TO APPOINT A WORKING PARTY TO DETEMINE AND PROGRESS ALL ASPECTS OF THE PROPOSED 2017 SPRING/SUMMER PLANTING SCHEME.  
(To include the funding, styling, siting and purchasing of appropriate containers, baskets, planters, together with the compost and plants.) 

17. TO RECEIVE AN UPDATE FROM THE CLERK RELATING TO THE POSSIBLE LEASE OF THE MILLENNIUM GREEN FROM NORTH LINCOLNSHIRE COUNCIL.

18. TO CONSIDER A REQUEST FROM CLLR. MRS A. EARDLEY FOR A DONATION TOWARDS THE BANNER, WHICH SHE PURCHASED FROM HER MAYOR’S APPEAL FUND, TO ADVERTISE THE MAYOR’S COFFEE MORNING.
 
19.     TO CONSIDER A SUGGESTION FROM CLLR. MISS J. KITCHING THAT A CATEGORY BE ADDED TO THE BEST KEPT GARDENS COMPETITION FOR ‘FORMER WINNERS’ AND TO DEFINE THE TERMS OF INCLUSION.
