NEW USE PLANNED FOR WELL-KNOWN BRIGG BUILDING

New use has been approved for a well-known Brigg building.
North Lincolnshire Council has granted permission for change of use from a health and beauty salon to accountancy offices.
The location is the former Brigg Ambulance Station on Wesley Road (near Grammar School Road).
Permission has been granted to Mrs C Brodley, of Wrawby Street. Agent for the applicant was John Knight, of Paul Fox Commercial, Scunthorpe.
A North Lincolnshire Council report said change of use to a nursery had been granted in 2000 and then to a health and beauty salon  in 2010.
In "policy and site context terms" the proposed  use as accountancy offices was considered acceptable.
"It is not considered that the operation of an accountancy office would cause adverse effect upon the residential amenity afforded to these properties any more than the current approved use," the report concluded.
