BRIGG PRIZE ALLOTMENT COMPETITION 2016 - RESULTS REVEALED


The winner of the competition to decide the leading allotment in Brigg has been decided.
He is John Cosgrove, who tends a plot on Brigg Town Council's Grammar School Road allotments site.
He received his prize from Town Mayor Coun Ann Eardley in the Angel Suite (pictured above).
The Mayor thanked Vic Bowness for judging the allotments and Stan Mosey  for providing the most improved allotment award – presented for the second time during 2016.

PRIZE ALLOTMENTS
1st place: Mr J Cosgrove, for Plot 24 Grammar School Road, Mary Robins Memorial Rose Bowl, certificate and voucher for £50 for Brigg Garden Centre.
2nd place: Mr K and Mrs N Major, Plot 7 Redcombe Lane, certificate and voucher for £30 for Brigg Garden Centre.
3rd place: Mr R Lamplugh, Plot 9 Grammar School Road, certificate and voucher for £20 for Brigg Garden Centre.
Certificate of merit &voucher for £10 for Brigg Garden Centre: Mr R Lamplugh, Plot 10 Grammar School Road.
Most improved allotment, the Stan Mosey Trophy, certificate and voucher for £20 for Brigg Garden Centre:  Mrs R Townend, Plot 25 Grammar School Road; runner-up, certificate and voucher for £10 for Brigg Garden Centre, Mr G Backhouse, Plot 12A Grammar School Road.
Not all the finalists were able to attend the weekend prize-giving.
