ALDI 'DELIGHTED' THAT PLANNING OFFICERS RECOMMEND GO-AHEAD FOR BRIGG STORE

Many Brigg people who attended the Aldi consultation session some time ago in the Angel Suite to promote plans to establish a new store in the town today received an update by email.
"Local Residents" were told what Brigg Blog had already revealed - a  decision on Aldi's application will be made at North Lincolnshire Council’s Planning Committee meeting at Scunthorpe Civic Centre, Ashby Road, on Wednesday (21st September) from 2pm.
The email sent out for Aldi today says: "We are delighted that council officers have recommended the proposals for approval. However, the final decision will be down to your local councillors.
"It is a public meeting, so if you can attend, please do. It will be a great opportunity to see local Councillors speak on your behalf and show your support.
"If you would like to attend, but need help with transport, please contact us as soon as you can using the details provided. Any Questions? Please call 0800 978 8968 or email quoraconsultation@planningpotential.co.uk  Thank you for your support."
A leaflet from Aldi about its Brigg store project was also sent out today, to accompany the email.
It says: "Aldi have worked hard to develop the best possible plan for the site which offers benefits for the area and local people."
The new store is earmarked for Bridge Street, close to Cake Mills Bridge over the New River Ancholme.
