FIRST RESPONDERS NEEDED URGENTLY IN THE BRIGG AREA

Brigg LIVES first responders Antony Darker (left) and Chris Darlington were at the Town Mayor's coffee morning in the Angel Suite yesterday, Saturday, September 3, to raise awarness of the the Lincolnshire Integrated Voluntary Emergency Service.
LIVES says it urgently needs help to save lives in Brigg and the surrounding area.
There's an urgent need for people to train as volunteers, giving up their time to respond to emergencies within the community.
When someone dials 999 not only is an ambulance mobilised but the LIVES volunteer on call will receive notification, too.
LIVES aims to be with a person making a 999 call within five to six minutes.
All first responders provide emergency care to adults suffering from
  • Breathing difficulties
  • Chest pain
  • Collapsing and fits
  • Strokes
  • Cardiac arrest

Meetings are held at Brigg Servicemen's Club, Coney Court.
If you are interested in joining LIVES, call its HQ on 01507 525999 and they will put you in touch with the Brigg group.
LIVES says: "Being a first responder might not change your life but it may save someone else's."
