Planning approval was granted late last year as the structure, on Cary Lane, is considered to have no merit.
It is used for storing the town's market stalls and a replacement will have to be found for this important role before the demolition gang moves in.
We didn't think it was going to take this long for the building to be removed from the street scene.
A spokesman for the council tells us: "We haven't set a date for the demolition of the storage building but we do still plan to demolish it in the foreseeable future."
Brigg Blog has asked to be informed when a date is finally pencilled in.
Once the building has been taken down, people looking across from the Tesco store side of Cary Lane will get a view of the side of Brigg Servicemen's Club, in nearby Coney Court.
No-one would include the club on a shortlist of Brigg's most attractive buildings, either.
However, we expect there will be improvements, in due course, to the Cary Lane/Coney Court area of the town centre. Some time ago, small shop units were suggested for the latter.
Our picture, taken from the turning circle in Cary Lane, shows the storage building with the Servicemen's Club just visible on the right and one of the bus shelters on the left.

Once this storage building is removed, there is potential of creating a thro' route from Old Courts.
Feasibly, it would be possible to create another major retail road in the town.
The land parcels at the backs of the Wrawby St shops could be used for modern retail and office units...
The Servicemen's Club is sitting on a prime redevelopment site....the site probably being worth more than the actual building.
The town needs someone with vision to progress how Brigg's centre could evolve during the next generations...to have an overall plan, rather than singular ideas of developing small sites piecemeal.
Anyway....I thought the recently constructed wooden compound in the Angel car-park was the proposed market stalls storage area.
Has someone forgotten it is there?
