North Lincolnshire Council recently awarded the maximum FIVE STARS - “very good” - to the Secret Garden Tearoom, Elsham Hall.
A rating of FOUR STARS - "good" was given to the Wheatsheaf Hotel, Station Road, Hibaldstow.

Since then he has umpired as a member of the Scunthorpe panel. He is results secretary of the Lincolnshire County Cricket League, chairman of the Broughton Evening League and supplies cricket content for the Scunthorpe Telegraph, the Grimsby Telegraph and the Lincolnshire Echo.
