WHIFF OF NOSTALGIA ON SALE IN BRIGG

This being Saturday and the only day of the week on which Brigg enjoys a passenger train service, we thought it an ideal time to inform Blog followers that a nostalgic railway publication is now on sale in the town.
We  have compiled the content for the picture-packed Telegraph Trains magazine, which is part of the Scunthorpe Telegraph's popular Nostalgia series.
There's even a picture from 1967 showing "yours truly" and brother Simon, from Brigg, alongside a steam loco during a trainspotting trip.
Telegraph Trains is on sale at selected Brigg outlets. A supply has now arrived at Martin's, in Wrawby Street, and copies were also sent to Bhatti's, in Bridge Street, and the Spa shop on Atkinson Avenue.

Next Thursday, November 12, there's an interesting and nostalgic cine film night for trainspotters at the Cleethorpes Imperial Hall, starting at 7.30pm. It will be presented by Rob Foxon - an expert in this field, who does similar shows across the UK. Some of us from Brigg will be attending. You can pay on the door - no need to buy tickets in advance.
