THIS HAS BIN A GREAT BRIGG SERVICE FOR MANY YEARS

North Lincolnshire Council, as a unitary authority created in 1996, provides all the services once furnished by Glanford Borough and Humberside County.
Community-charge payers have to cough up a decent amount of dosh and feel they have every right to grumble if things aren't to their satisfaction. And such complaints are what hit the headlines - even on Brigg Blog, from time to time.
However, praise is not often forthcoming. We tend to take the view that the staff/workers are getting well paid for what they do.
We don't think dustmen/women (sorry, collection operatives) are particularly well renumerated for doing what is a dirty and physically demanding job in all weathers.
This council service, in our opinion, is second to none. And we all take it for granted, which is a shame. Credit where credit's due.
Next time there's a salary review we'd like to think the dustbin collectors will be first in line for a  well-earned rise.
