BRIGG WINNER BAGS A PRIZE

North Lincolnshire Council has announced the winners of the textile recycling competition – aimed at raising awareness of the textile recycling scheme.
Participants had to guess the number of small textile items that were in the red textile bags.
For each event, residents who guessed the nearest answer won a £20 voucher.
The winners are:
Toni Stephenson – Scunthorpe
Mr Warrillow – Bottesford
Mr Waldron – Brigg
Mr Steele – Haxey
Rebecca Turner – Epworth
Ms Gower – Winterton
Ms Muller – Barton upon Humber
Christine Watson – Epworth
Anna Sargeant – Scunthorpe
Joanne Ball - Luddington

The prizes have been donated by Bag it up – the council's approved contractor for textiles.
The scheme enables residents to recycle their unwanted items such as clothes, shoes, handbags, belts, curtains, towels and bed linen by putting them in the red textile bag next to their blue and green recycling boxes for collection.
If you do not have any red recycling textiles bags, you can request these online at www.northlincs.gov.uk or telephone the council’s Customer Contact Centre on 01724 297000.
Coun Neil Poole, Cabinet Member for Neighbourhoods at North Lincolnshire Council, said: “The competition is a great way to raise awareness of the scheme and show people just what you can put in your red textile bag. If you are thinking of having a good old clear out in your wardrobe, don’t forget you can recycle them without leaving the house. It couldn’t be simpler.”
