Brigg folk are being reminded: Simple skills save lives. East Midlands Ambulance Service and the British Heart Foundation are inviting any interest locals along to a FREE Heart Start Course. This, the organisers say, will enable you to deal confidently with a heart in crisis, a choking person and other emergencies.
It's at the Brigg Resource Centre, off Horstead Avenue, on Thursday, August 1, from 6pm to 8pm. To book a place contact Annie Palmer on 0115 8845253. They say places are limited. So don't delay.
Saturday, August 24 will see the Brigg 2013 Food Festival in the Market Place and Wrawby Street, from 9am to 3pm. This will operate alongside the monthly farmers' market, and the organisers at North Lincolnshire Council stress the very best in local produce will be available.
