North Lincolnshire Council says it is transforming local libraries and bringing them
into the 21st century with technology. From Friday, July 226 residents will have access to FREE Wi-fi at all council libraries, including the one in Brigg.
Wi-fi is
a popular technology that allows an electronic device to exchange data or
connect to the internet wirelessly using radio waves.
A very welcome move. But don't forget that the library is now housed in the Angel building, off the Market Place, and is no longer off Old Courts Road.
Coun Neil Poole (Messingham), Cabinet Member for Policy and Resources at North Lincolnshire
Council, said: "When people visit the library, besides having access to
the usual things you'd expect to find, you will now also have wireless
connection to the internet, enabling customers to do a whole range of things
including business with the council."
