BRIGG FLUE UPDATE: VARIETY IS THE SPICE OF LIFE

Regular Brigg Blog followers may recall earlier references to the application that was made to North Lincolnshire Council about the flue behind the Diya Spice takeaway in Bigby Street. The picture at the foot of this page shows how it was. Above and immediately below  are other images taken recently. Can you spot the flue now? We enjoy many good spicy takeaways from the Diya Spice, as do many other Brigg folk. So we'll  leave you with food for thought!

Oddly, the original flue, which was similar in appearance to the unpainted new flue, was changed because there were some concerns that the flue was making a noise - humming, or similar.....
Diya Spice replaced the old flue only to then be informed that the new flue is too conspicuous in the Conservation Area - Blinking stupid thinking, in my opinion, as someone seems to have changed the goal-posts!!
Additionally, as previously indicated by another commentator, the biggest eye-sore is the 'waste-ground' adjacent to Diya Spice.
This site already has NLC's approval for a number of dwellings - but NLC is not pressuring the developer to start building.....If and when the site is developed, the side of Diya Spice and the so-called offending flue will almost hidden by such dwellings.

LET'S HAVE SOME COMMONSENSE HERE...AND LESS JOBS-WORTH!!
