The renowned Tesco store in Brigg has an important anniversary on the horizon.
The store located between Barnard Avenue and Cary Lane - built on the site once occupied by the town's stockmarket - opened its doors for the first time on January 18, 1999.
So its 20th birthday is coming up in the New Year.
We hope the national retailer will mark this milestone in style.
There are some long-serving staff at the Brigg branch, and many local and loyal customers have been using the facility since it first opened.
Some of us still miss the cafe that was near the entrance but was later removed. But the store has served Brigg well.
Some years ago, planning permission was granted to build a new, much larger Tesco store but the scheme never came to fruition.
