NEW HOTEL OPENS IN THE BRIGG AREA & IS WELCOMED BY LOCAL COUNCIL LEADER

FROM CHRIS O'ROURKE, NORTH LINCOLNSHIRE COUNCIL

Leader of North Lincolnshire Council, Cllr Rob Waltham (Brigg & Wolds) visited the newly-opened Hampton by Hilton Hotel at Humberside Airport – the first Hilton in North Lincolnshire that is attracting holiday-makers, offshore workers and other businesses.
The council’s New Find North Lincolnshire visitor guide is on display in the entrance to the hotel and in the hotel rooms showcasing all the great things the area has to offer – shopping, attractions, places to eat and stay, maps, visiting information and nearby destinations including Normanby Hall Country Park and Waters’ Edge in Barton. It also features 2017’s UK City of Culture in Hull. For more information visit: www.VisitNorthLincs.gov.uk
The Hampton by Hilton is located in the Enterprise Zone at Humberside Airport, Kirmington, and has employed 50 staff within the local area, which is a great boost for the local economy. Enterprise zone status means that businesses may qualify for a reduction in business rates – making it more attractive for them to invest.
The business park at Humberside Airport is a 94-acre site.
Cllr Rob Waltham, Leader of North Lincolnshire Council, said: “The new Hilton Hotel is a significant investment in North Lincolnshire’s economy and will bring more people into the area. We’ve got the new offshore wind contracts on the enterprise zone and they are using the Hotel as it’s in a great location for them. Visitors and holidays makers will also benefit.
“The location is fantastic for businesses, we’ve got good connectivity that leads you right to the airport and also the M180, you can be in Leeds and Sheffield within an hour and we have train links from Barnaby village that will get you to Manchester in two hours and good connectivity to London too.”
Sales Manager at the Hampton by Hilton hotel, Sam Cook,

“We have 100 double bedrooms and free breakfast available for every Hampton guest served from 5am. We’ve got two meeting rooms for events; each meeting room holds 50 guests and we can provide buffets for you if requested.
“We also have an onsite gym that is open 24 hours for our hotel guests. We look forward to meeting you upon your arrival at the Hampton by Hilton hotel.”
