NEW BRIGG SHOP TAKING SHAPE

They were working hard to kit out a new Brigg shop when we dropped by for a look and a brief chat early on Saturday afternoon - following an extensive stay at Brigg Horse Fair 2017.
The town centre premises are now taking shape and will be opening shortly.
Date to come on Brigg Blog when confirmed.
The Rabbit Hole book shop is housed in part of the former Green's Central Cafe, next to the Woolpack and Brown & Co's agency.
It is at the side of the three-storey ex-eatery, where there was once a chippie, along Market Lane.
In terms of how the completed shop will look, the rabbit is now out of the hat. If you will pardon the pun.
Brigg has a fine record in breathing new life into old buildings and this is a good example.
There will be a public launch for the Rabbit Hole on farmers' market Saturday - August 26, although it will be opening well before that date. So pop in and take a look.
The eating area of the old cafe - fronting the Market Place - is also being refurbished, with available retail space being advertised.
Some years ago, planning permission was granted for a takeaway serving chicken-based dishes at this location. But this scheme never proceeded.
