40 NEW APARTMENTS FOR BRIGG - LATEST UPDATE

On October 14 last year, great interest was generated in Brigg by a planning application  for proposed mixed development of 40 residential apartments, commercial market and enhancements to the new village green - the location being land on Station Road, close to the railway station.
The application came from North Lincolnshire Council, Civic Centre, Ashby Road, Scunthorpe.
It was widely publicised over several months and no significant objections were received.
So in the new year, with no decision having been made on the application, Brigg Blog  began to ask when we could expect it to go before the planning committee or be ruled upon by council officers under what they call delegated powers.
We've asked the same question a number of times since then.
Now the agenda for the August meeting of the council's planning committee has been published - without the inclusion of the application for 40 new homes in Brigg.
We were beginning to wonder whether it was being left until Brigg Horse Fair 2017 had taken place on the site in question.
But clearly that has no relevance, as it was held  three weeks ago.
We've now put the question to the council again, to see when Brigg can expect this application to be decided - finally.
