A Brigg care home has been given permission to increase the size of a planned extension and make some other alterations.
Having granted planning permission last year for Abbey Village Care Home on Wrawby Street, North Lincolnshire Council has now agreed to a marginal increase in the footprint of the extension, amendment of the roof to a hip design adjoining the existing roof line, and revision of the external window and door arrangements.
No objections were received from the public or from Brigg Town Council which was consulted as part of the planning process.
Approval is being sought for the following applications now under consideration by North Lincolnshire planners with decisions to be made in due course:
Land west of Almond Grove: Amendment to previously granted permission to add fascia and soffits, alter the eave levels and garage on Plot 3 to become a games room (This is part of a housing development taking shape on land near the Donkey Field playground and the allotment plots).
4 Oakfield Close: Erect a two-storey side extension. (Oakfield Close is part of a housing development near Bigby High Road).
The Gables, Bigby Road: Notice of intention to fell a pear tree, prune a group of holly and a Robinia tree within Brigg's conservation area.
