Community grants totalling around £50,000 have been approved for Brigg, Scawby, Hibaldstow and Broughton.
Members of the cabinet at North Lincolnshire Council have agreed the following financial assistance be given by the unitary authority:
St John the Evangelist Church, Brigg, £1,229 to help with the provision of additional/improved facilities for disabled people, to include hearing loop system, louder emergency alarm in toilet facilities and non-slip coating on flooring in the entrance way.
St Hybald’s Church Hall, Hibaldstow, £1,900 relating to improved information technology equipment for video conferencing and to complement equipment already purchased.
Broughton Amateur Dramatic Society £5,600 to assist in re-roofing the rehearsal room.
Broughton Village Hall £2,700, relating to the installation of fencing, gates and creation of disabled access to the site.
Scawby Parish Council £38,295 towards the installation of a multi-use games area.
Funding from other sources will also contribute to many of these projects.
North Lincolnshire Council has earmarked further community grants following applications received from groups elsewhere, including Bottesford, Scunthorpe, Crowle and Barton.
