We saw our first of 2017 yesterday and look forward to watching many more as they circle areas of the town in the search for insects.
Swifts live their lives on the wing - you won't spot them on the ground.
They will remain in Brigg until early or mid-August - by which time they will have nested under the eaves of buildings and raised the next generation.
As kids we used to love to watch them flying over Central Square and East Parade - two of their strongholds, although improvements to the front of many houses in this part of town have rather changed the picture.
