BRIGG BUSINESSES DO SO MUCH FOR 'VIBRANCY' OF TOWN CENTRE

Independent Brigg traders have been thanked for their contribution to the "vibrancy" of the town centre.
Coun Rob Waltham, leader of North Lincolnshire Council, stressed the role played by shop proprietors when he addressed Brigg Town Business Partnership members at their annual meeting in the Buttercross.
He also stressed the importance of the free parking concession in attracting trade to Brigg, saying this meant people were staying longer in the town centre, particularly at weekends.
Coun Waltham also highlighted the success of the CallConnect dial-a-ride bus service, allowing people from surrounding villages to "come in - on demand - when it suits them."
CallConnect was very much "pro-business."
Our picture - taken by Ken Harrison, of Brigg Matters Magazine, nicely captures  the mood of shopping in Brigg town centre, though keen-eyed Blog followers will spot that the card shop has changed hands since it was taken.
